Material Selection for BBQ Grill Thermostat Wire

Conductor Material:
Prioritize the use of stainless steel (such as 304/316) or nickel-plated alloy, which offer resistance to high-temperature oxidation and stable electrical conductivity.

Outer Insulation Material:
The outer insulation should be heat-resistant, oil-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. Common choices include:

  • Silicone Rubber: Temperature range -60°C to 200°C, flexible and easy to install (suitable for medium to low-temperature models).

  • PTFE (Teflon): Can withstand temperatures up to 260°C, with excellent aging resistance.

  • Fiberglass Braided Layer: High-temperature resistance (up to 500°C), suitable for extreme high-temperature environments.

Protection Rating:
For outdoor use, the wire should have waterproof and dustproof capabilities (e.g., IP65 or higher).
